How to Be More Productive in The Morning
What Does it Mean To Be More Productive In The Morning?
To be more productive in the morning, you need to have a clear understanding of what your goals are for the day. What do you want to accomplish? What tasks do you need to complete?
Once you have a clear understanding of your goals, it will be much easier to get started and stay on track.
Expert Tips to Help You Be More Productive in The Morning
In doing my research, I came across these 10 helpful tips for a productive morning routine as suggested by Healthline:
Set An Alarm – The First Step to Being More Productive in The Morning
While setting an alarm may seem obvious, it’s important to set an alarm you will actually wake up to. It is important to note that if you are a heavy sleeper, you should try setting multiple alarms to ensure you will wake up.
As important as setting an alarm is, avoiding the snooze button is equally as important. By getting out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off you are setting yourself up for a more successful day.

Let in the Morning Light
Sunlight is a natural way to wake up your body and mind. All the more reason to open the blinds or curtains as soon as you wake up.
Wash Your Face
Washing your face is a great way to start the day. It will help you feel refreshed and awake. In addition to helping you wake up, washing your face is an important step in your basic skincare routine.
Eat A Nutritious Breakfast
Eating a nutritious breakfast will help you have more energy and focus throughout the day. Indeed, making this is a key step in a productive morning routine.

Exercise Is Important for A Productive Morning Routine
Exercise is a great way to get your blood flowing and wake up your body. Even just a few minutes of physical activity can make a big difference.
Cross A Few Chores Off Your List
Getting some of your daily chores out of the way first thing in the morning can help you feel more productive and less stressed.
Write Out A “To Do” List
Having a list of things you need to do helps you stay on track making sure not to forget anything. This in and of itself will make your morning more productive.
Meditate and/or Journal
Taking time to relax and clear your mind can help you feel more focused and ready to start the day.

Spend Time with Loved Ones
Starting your day by spending time with those you love is without a doubt a great way to feel happy and motivated.
Do Something You Enjoy
Make sure to do something that makes you happy every day. This, for example, can be anything from reading a book to taking a walk outside.
Productive Morning Routine Examples I Will Be Implementing
While I do realize that I covered the expert morning routine tips above, I’m now going to share a few key things I plan on implementing in an effort to create a more productive morning routine.
Are you on board with me? I sure hope so!
Here They Are:
The First Step to A Productive Morning Routine Is to Wake Up at the Same Time Every Day
This may seem like a no-brainer; however, it is important to let your body get used to a set schedule. As a result, I will be setting up a sleep routine on my watch to ensure I am going to bed and waking up on a set schedule.
Drink Water
My mornings will start by drinking a glass of water to rehydrate after a long night’s sleep. This will help jumpstart my metabolism and give me more energy throughout the day.
Eat A Good Breakfast
Without a doubt, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. With this in mind, I need to be sure to eat a healthy and filling breakfast which will then allow me to make better food choices throughout the day as well as provide me with more energy.
Exercise
Admittedly, getting in some form of a workout first thing in the morning will be difficult for me from the get-go. However, what is highly motivating is the knowledge that exercise will provide me with more energy and help improve focus throughout the day.
Take Some Time for Myself
Lastly, as part of my productive morning routine, I will be taking time for myself before rushing into my day. As I’ve shared in other blog posts, one of my favorite things to do for myself is journal which of course means it will be the most likely activity I choose.
Perhaps you would choose to read your favorite book, take a bath, or meditate. Most importantly, find something that helps you to relax and clear your mind. By taking this dedicated “me time”, you will probably feel better prepared to take on the day.

By following these simple tips, you can be sure you’re getting the most out of your morning routine which can result in a more successful day. Implementing a few key changes into your morning routine can make a big difference in how productive you are throughout the day.
I’m ready to get started on a more productive morning routine right now! How about you?
