Why Are Baths Good for Self-Care?

Baths are a great way for people to engage in self-care because baths provide an opportunity to relax and de-stress which we all need to do. You can take the time to do something you enjoy while relaxing in the comfort of a warm soothing bath.

Baths can also help improve circulation, which is beneficial for overall health. A bath can also help improve your mood and promote feelings of relaxation and well-being. All of these are great reasons for you to find time to jump in feet first while putting yourself first!

Self-Care Bath Routine: Create A Routine That Works for You

Do you love a nice soak in the bath?  While it’s not always possible to enjoy a long soak or even a peaceful bath at that, creating a self-care bath routine might make it easier for you to take advantage of some “me time” in the bath.

First, set aside one evening a week or month (whatever you can manage) and schedule your self-care bath.  Whether it be in the morning, afternoon, or evening just put it on the calendar just as if it were a doctor’s appointment.  This way you are more likely to stick with your plan.

Be sure to let others in the house know you will be spending some “me time” and ask that you not be disturbed.  Provide a time frame so that others know when you will be available again.

To make sure your mind stays clear and relaxed, set aside some time to declutter your bathroom prior to indulging in your bath. Creating an organized sanctuary for yourself will keep you from stressing about the mess when you should be focusing on relaxation.
